LocalSale Privacy Policy

LocalSale ("the app", "we") helps you find and post garage sales, yard sales and estate sales near you, and chat with neighbors in a small community feed. This policy describes what information the app handles.

Summary: LocalSale lets you publish sale listings and community posts that other users can see. To make that work, the listings, items, photos and posts you choose to publish — and the display name you pick — are stored on our backend and shown publicly. We do not require your name, email or phone number, and we do not sell your data. The app shows no third-party advertising; the only promotions inside it are for our own other apps. We collect a small amount of anonymous usage statistics to improve the app, and we use the Meta Platforms SDK to measure which ads brought people to LocalSale (see Advertising measurement below).

Information we collect

1. Content you publish

• Sale listings — title, description, the sale address you enter, dates and times, price range, item tags, and the optional list of items with prices. Stored on our backend and shown publicly to other users, which is the purpose of the app.
• Photos you attach to a listing — stored on our backend and shown publicly with your listing.
• Approximate location of the sale — the address you type is converted to map coordinates so the sale can be pinned on the map. This is the sale's location, which you provide.
• Community posts and likes — text you post in the neighborhood feed, and which posts you liked. Posts are public to other users.
• Display name and profile — an optional nickname, profile photo, one-line bio, neighborhood, birth year, gender and interests you set in Settings → Edit profile. All of these are optional and can be left blank. Nickname, photo, neighborhood and interests are shown to other users on your sales, items and clubs; birth year and gender are used only to help neighbors find people to meet up with. You do not need to use your real name.
• Messages — text you send in a one-to-one chat about an item and in a neighborhood club's group chat. Messages are stored on our backend so the other person can read them. One-to-one messages are visible to you and the person you are chatting with; club messages are visible to that club's members. We do not read your messages except when they are reported to us.

2. An anonymous identifier

When you first use the app it signs in anonymously and is assigned a random ID so your own sales, posts, likes and saved sales can be associated with you. This ID is not linked to your name, email, phone, or any advertising identifier.

3. Anonymous usage statistics

To understand which features are used and to fix problems, the app records a small number of usage events — for example "app opened", "sale viewed", "directions tapped", "sale posted", "share tapped", "filter applied". Each event contains only: the anonymous ID above, a random install ID, platform (iOS/Android), app version, the event name, and small non-personal details (such as the radius you chose or the ID of the sale viewed). No name, email, contacts, photos, message text or precise device location is included. These records are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted. They are never shared with advertisers or sold.

We do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or precise device location history. On Android the advertising ID is used only for install measurement — see Advertising measurement below.

Your device location (not collected)

If you grant location permission, your device location is used on your device only — to center the map on your area and to filter sales within the radius you choose. It is not transmitted to us or stored. The app works without it; you can also search any place by typing an address.

How your information is used and shared

• Listings, items, photos, posts and display names you publish are shown publicly in the app. Do not include private information (phone numbers, exact home details you don't want public) in a listing or post.
• Data is stored using Supabase (our backend/hosting provider, servers in the United States) and transmitted over encrypted HTTPS.
• Sharing a sale creates a link (https://trendx-app.github.io/localsale/...) that you can send to anyone; the link opens the sale in the app or leads to the app store. Nothing is sent by us on your behalf.
• We do not sell your data and we do not share it with data brokers.
• The app includes the Meta Platforms, Inc. SDK for advertising measurement only — see Advertising measurement below for exactly what it sends.

Community rules, reporting and blocking

Sales and posts are user-generated content. You can report any sale or post from its menu, block a seller or neighbor so you never see their sales and posts again (Settings → Blocked neighbors to undo), and hide individual sales you don't want to see. Before your first post you agree to the community rules; we have zero tolerance for abuse. We review reports and remove content that violates these rules: no harassment, hate, scams, illegal or prohibited items, adult content, or other people's private information. Repeat offenders may be removed.

Data retention and deletion

• You can delete any sale or post you published from inside the app (menu → Delete).
• You can delete the anonymous account and all of its data from inside the app: Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your sales, items, photos, chats, club messages, reviews and saved items, and cannot be undone.
• You can also request deletion by emailing dys0707y@gmail.com. We will delete it promptly (normally within 7 days).
• Usage statistics are deleted automatically after 90 days.
• Listings may be removed by us if they violate our guidelines.

Permissions

• Location (optional): to center the map on sales near you and apply the distance filter. The app works without it; the location is not transmitted.
• Photo library / Camera (optional): to attach photos when posting a sale. Photos you attach are uploaded with your public listing.

Map data

Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap (Android) and Apple Maps (iOS). Your map viewport requests are handled by those providers under their own privacy policies, as with any map application.

Advertising

LocalSale shows no third-party advertising. The only promotional content inside the app is a section

listing other apps made by the same developer; tapping one opens its store page. Nothing about you is

sent to a third party to decide what appears there — the list is the same for everyone.

Advertising measurement

To understand which ads bring people to LocalSale, the app uses the Meta Platforms, Inc. SDK to

measure app installs and launches. When this is active, your device's advertising ID (on Android)

and app install/open events are sent to Meta. Your name, email address, precise location and

photos are never sent.

We do not use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) and therefore do not show an App Tracking

Transparency prompt; on iOS, attribution relies on Apple's aggregated SKAdNetwork.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android device settings

(Settings → Privacy → Ads). Meta's handling of this data is described at

https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy.

Children

LocalSale is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We will update this page when the app changes what it collects. The effective date at the top shows the latest revision.

LocalSale(이하 "앱")은 내 주변의 garage sale · yard sale · estate sale을 지도에서 찾고 등록하며, 동네 피드에서 이웃과 소통하도록 돕는 앱입니다. 본 방침은 앱이 처리하는 정보를 설명합니다.

요약: LocalSale은 사용자가 올린 세일 정보와 커뮤니티 글을 다른 사용자가 볼 수 있는 앱입니다. 이를 위해 게시하기로 선택한 세일·물품·사진·글과 직접 정한 표시명은 백엔드에 저장되어 공개됩니다. 이름·이메일·전화번호를 요구하지 않으며, 제3자 광고가 없고, 데이터를 판매하지 않습니다. 광고 설치 측정을 위한 Meta SDK 만 포함합니다(아래 «광고 측정»). 앱 개선을 위해 익명 사용 통계를 소량 수집합니다.

수집하는 정보

1. 사용자가 게시하는 콘텐츠

• 세일 정보 — 제목·설명·입력한 세일 주소·일시·가격대·품목 태그·(선택) 물품 목록과 가격. 백엔드에 저장되어 다른 사용자에게 공개됩니다(앱의 목적).
• 첨부 사진 — 백엔드에 저장되어 세일과 함께 공개됩니다.
• 세일의 대략적 위치 — 입력한 주소를 지도 좌표로 변환해 지도에 핀으로 표시합니다. 사용자가 제공하는 세일 위치입니다.
• 커뮤니티 글·좋아요 — 동네 피드에 올린 글과 좋아요 표시. 글은 다른 사용자에게 공개됩니다.
• 표시명·프로필 — 설정 → 프로필 편집에서 정하는 별명, 프로필 사진, 한 줄 소개, 동네, 태어난 해, 성별, 관심사. 전부 선택 사항이며 비워 둘 수 있습니다. 별명·사진·동네·관심사는 내 세일·물품·소모임에서 다른 사용자에게 보이고, 태어난 해와 성별은 함께 활동할 이웃을 찾는 데만 쓰입니다. 실명을 쓸 필요가 없습니다.
• 메시지 — 물품에 대한 1:1 대화와 동네 소모임 그룹 채팅에서 보낸 글. 상대가 읽을 수 있도록 백엔드에 저장됩니다. 1:1 메시지는 본인과 대화 상대에게만, 소모임 메시지는 그 소모임 구성원에게만 보입니다. 신고된 경우를 제외하고 당사는 메시지를 읽지 않습니다.

2. 익명 식별자

앱을 처음 사용하면 익명으로 로그인해 무작위 ID를 부여받아, 본인의 세일·글·좋아요·저장한 세일을 본인과 연결합니다. 이 ID는 이름·이메일·전화·광고 식별자와 연결되지 않습니다.

3. 익명 사용 통계

어떤 기능이 쓰이는지 파악하고 문제를 고치기 위해 소수의 사용 이벤트를 기록합니다 — 예: "앱 실행", "세일 조회", "길찾기 탭", "세일 등록", "공유 탭", "필터 적용". 각 기록에는 위 익명 ID, 무작위 설치 ID, 플랫폼(iOS/Android), 앱 버전, 이벤트 이름, 비개인 정보(선택한 반경, 조회한 세일 ID 등)만 포함됩니다. 이름·이메일·연락처·사진·글 내용·정밀 기기 위치는 포함되지 않습니다. 이 기록은 최대 90일 보관 후 삭제되며, 광고주와 공유되거나 판매되지 않습니다.

수집하지 않는 정보: 이름, 이메일, 전화번호, 연락처, 정밀 기기 위치 이력, 광고 ID.

기기 위치 (수집 안 함)

위치 권한을 허용하면 기기 위치는 기기 안에서만 지도를 내 주변으로 맞추고 선택한 반경 안의 세일을 거르는 데 사용되며, 전송·저장되지 않습니다. 없어도 앱은 동작하며 주소를 입력해 다른 지역을 검색할 수 있습니다.

정보의 이용·공유

• 게시한 세일·물품·사진·글·표시명은 앱 내에 공개 표시됩니다. 세일이나 글에 전화번호 등 사적인 정보를 넣지 마세요.
• 데이터는 Supabase(백엔드/호스팅 제공자, 미국 서버)에 저장되고 암호화된 HTTPS로 전송됩니다.
• 세일 공유 시 링크(https://trendx-app.github.io/localsale/...)가 만들어지며, 이 링크는 앱에서 세일을 열거나 앱 스토어로 안내합니다. 당사가 대신 전송하는 것은 없습니다.
• 광고주·데이터 브로커에 판매하지 않습니다.
• 설치 기여 측정을 위해 Meta Platforms, Inc. SDK 를 포함합니다. 아래 «광고 측정» 항목에 무엇이 전송되는지 정확히 적었습니다.

커뮤니티 규칙·신고·숨기기

세일과 글은 사용자 제작 콘텐츠입니다. 모든 세일과 글은 메뉴에서 신고할 수 있고, 특정 판매자·이웃을 차단해 그 사람의 세일과 글을 다시 보지 않을 수 있으며(설정 → 차단한 이웃에서 해제), 보고 싶지 않은 세일은 숨길 수 있습니다. 첫 글을 쓰기 전에 커뮤니티 규칙에 동의하며, 악용에는 무관용입니다. 신고는 검토 후 규칙 위반 콘텐츠를 삭제합니다: 괴롭힘, 혐오, 사기, 불법·금지 물품, 성인 콘텐츠, 타인의 개인정보 게시 금지. 반복 위반자는 제한될 수 있습니다.

보관·삭제

• 본인이 올린 세일과 글은 앱 안에서 직접 삭제할 수 있습니다(메뉴 → 삭제).
• 익명 계정과 그 모든 데이터는 앱 안에서 직접 삭제할 수 있습니다: 설정 → 계정 삭제. 올린 세일·물품·사진·채팅·소모임 메시지·후기·저장 목록이 영구 삭제되며 되돌릴 수 없습니다.
• dys0707y@gmail.com 으로 삭제를 요청할 수도 있으며 신속히(통상 7일 이내) 처리합니다.
• 사용 통계는 90일 후 자동 삭제됩니다.
• 가이드라인 위반 게시물은 당사가 삭제할 수 있습니다.

권한

• 위치(선택): 지도를 내 주변 세일로 맞추고 거리 필터를 적용하기 위함. 없어도 동작하며 위치는 전송되지 않습니다.
• 사진 라이브러리/카메라(선택): 세일 등록 시 사진 첨부용. 첨부 사진은 공개 게시물과 함께 업로드됩니다.

지도 데이터

지도 타일은 OpenStreetMap(Android)·Apple 지도(iOS)에서 불러옵니다. 일반 지도 앱과 마찬가지로 해당 제공자의 방침에 따라 처리됩니다.

광고

제3자 광고는 없습니다. 앱 안의 홍보성 지면은 같은 개발자가 만든 다른 앱을 소개하는 목록 하나뿐이며, 누르면 해당 앱의 스토어 페이지가 열립니다. 그 목록을 정하는 데 사용자 정보는 전혀 쓰이지 않습니다 — 모든 사용자에게 같은 목록이 보입니다.

광고 측정

어떤 광고가 LocalSale 설치로 이어지는지 파악하기 위해 Meta Platforms, Inc. SDK 로 설치·실행을 측정합니다. 이때 Android 광고 ID 와 앱 설치/실행 이벤트가 Meta 로 전송됩니다. 이름·이메일·정밀 위치·사진은 전송되지 않습니다.

Apple 광고 식별자(IDFA)는 사용하지 않으므로 앱 추적 투명성(ATT) 팝업을 띄우지 않습니다. iOS 에서는 Apple 의 집계 방식(SKAdNetwork)에 의존합니다.

광고 ID 는 Android 설정(설정 → 개인 정보 보호 → 광고)에서 초기화·삭제할 수 있습니다. Meta 의 데이터 처리 방식은 https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy 에 설명돼 있습니다.

아동

LocalSale은 만 13세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않으며 아동의 정보를 고의로 수집하지 않습니다.

변경

앱이 수집하는 정보가 바뀌면 이 페이지를 갱신합니다. 상단의 시행일이 최신 개정 시점입니다.
